Great post & my pleasure. Here's hoping Senegal lives up to it's potential & we are all richer for it.

We differ slightly with FAR's SP after a positive Shell announcement. Interested to hear more thoughts on this. Not interested in hearing the negative aspects on SP if Shell opt out, as at this late stage most of us know the risk and have decided to wait for Shell's decision.

Technology has advanced a lot since Hardman’s story. A +ve CSEM result substantially de-risks the venture, while substantially increasing the success of hitting oil on the first well as Shell will have a better 3D model of the target they are drilling for.

On today’s volume & volume spikes we have seen over the last few weeks I think we'll see some large institutions jumping on board if Shell give the thumbs up. IMO the pre-announcement SP will jump several fold post trading halt, followed soon after by some decent takeover bids, proactively sourced by ME if he hasn't already got some potentials waiting in the wings.

There's a lot less oil to be found now than when Hardman hit pay dirt. Current oil reserves in the Worlds 800 largest producing fields are decaying at twice the forecast rate over the last 2 years & at 6.7% for last 12 months alone.

A 1 bill + potential on the back of a positive CSEM will see some healthy competition for FAR.
