What big short selling? There isn't any compared to other companies!!! Just because the last reported shorts on ASIC were 78m, it might seem a big number to you, but as a percentage of the overall stock it is small, only 2.66% of all stock. If you go back 3-4 weeks the short positions were 75m, around the same number.
Shorting is simply not an issue!! The issue was the large overhang by the underwriter and sub-underwriters
all of whom managed to keep their overall position below the 5% reporting level. They have been dumping, it is not an increase in shorts.
The way you and others keep going on about the shorts when it's not an issue, is very suspicious to me.
Just compare ARIs short position 2.66% to AGOs position, 11.1%, now there is a problem, though they were 12.65 3-4 weeks ago!! So when the short positions get above 5%, then start carrying on about it, but not before.
If you were carrying on about underwriters dumping, it would be far more believable, but are they still dumping?
