But having moved to sell off the US component of the childcare company's assets, it is now worth a look, according to Aequs Securities analyst Ric Klusman.

"It has been a bit of a wild ride, but it is over the worst and working to tidy up the mess," Mr Klusman said.

He said it was worth noting ABC Learning had announced in January it had entered into an agreement with the Federal Government to provide childcare for more than 27,000 Centrelink staff."
