Hmm. Not many seized at the time then? That's probably the best time to seize somebody's gun if you plan on charging them with carrying it at the time.
We'll see how these cases get on:

Reffitt - "told his family he brought his gun with him" - yeah, gonna need a bit more.

When Alberts tried to flee, officers detained him and recovered the loaded handgun along with a separate magazine." - see, that's the way to do it, albeit need to put a few 'allegedly's in there if you want to do the justice thing.
Didn't go far but, hey, at least it was alleged.
