Sure, Tesla cars were not meant to be used as shopping trolleys but neither was it necessarily expected that large numbers of shoppers would go and buy one because they saw it at their local Westfield! Part of the point was to build the brand and make it top of mind in people's consciousness and make the Tesla brand the definition of electric cars, and in this they've been spectacularly successful. The sales then follow.

There we go: Reduced range (down to a minimum of 15km, I can run that far - and back!), reduced endurance (down to 28 minutes, wow!), reduced airspeed (down to 40km/h, I can cycle faster!) & reduced altitude (2,500ft above sea level). I now comprehend why this machine is now being marketed as a golf cart. I weigh 90kg and I would have just enough payload left for a couple of clubs and 2 light weight golf balls. So you were right all along, ZenTheOne. You also have to overhaul the engine after just 30 hours of flying time, which will make the sport of golf even more expensive. But not to worry, because the delivery time has once again been postponed, this time to 2017 (originally 2008). So everything is going well and to plan. Just be patient, "have faith and best of luck"
