    It's the economy, stupid!

    Sorry, no offence intended to anyone, I've always wanted to say that.

    But seriously, if this crisis had developed in 1999 when the markets were flying, does anyone seriously think the markets would have tanked. I doubt it, any stocks remotely associated with war would have set off for the sun. Back then it was "out of the way. Let the bulls through." Things are a bit different now.

    This war is only a pretext to mask what is really happening in the worlds economies. The problems won't magically disappear if the US smashes Iraq. Top analysts in the US are telling their clients to use any spike after a war starts to SELL, not to buy. The emperor has no clothes folks.
