Flem - on SUN you quoted a very high PE figure as the basis fore your short..... that is most likely based on the forecast for statutary profit for the FY which will include a large write down on one of there businesses...... the underlying profit for the year from memory was going to be in line with the pcp. and the dividend (substantial) was also going to be maintained.....
refer back to their announcement late may when the share price dropped sharply......
a good friend of mine has big money (long) with sun as recommended by j.b. weir..... he's a wealthy man now retired from his own very successful business ..... he pays big money to j.b. weir to manage his wealth, and takes no prisoners if things don't go right.....so they live in fear of his wrath...... so from that you would expect that j.b.weir to be pretty sure to get it right.
