Scotland just signed off on another 448MW offshore wind power (or ~291,000 kg NdFeb pm). [1]

In Europe, officially planned offshore projects (2020-2030) stands at 36GW, or 23,400,000 kg NdFeb pm.. [2]

Given that offshore wind power was recently coined to be cheaper than nuclear and gas power, I'd say it's a safe bet this will increase significantly (double? triple?) in the coming years [3]. And this is Europe alone.

Seems a LAMP 2 would be prudent to support the increase in offshore wind alone cool.png
