News for Today (AEDST)







The XJO closed modestly lower on Wednesday, after being sharply lower earlier in the session.

Spread increased over Tuesdays bar, the close was slightly above mid bar, and the volume (value traded) remained a little below average.

Some tentative and speculative buying was drawn out of the market on Wednesday, it was not particularly convincing, however we'll see how it goes today (and remember, whenever we see speculative buying like this, if a widespread down bar arrives soon after, then those speculative positions are most likely being dumped - which is what causes the wide spread).
Anyway, overall the sellers remained in control on Wednesday, although with the volumes staying below average, the selling pressure does not appear to be substantial so far, but it has been enough to overcome the demand, and drive the Index lower.
