Total waste of time bringing Marles on really as he had nothing to contribute. Just prattled on about nothing...

He as said refused to acknowledge the debt Labor built over 6 years at all, just pretty well shrugged his shoulders and compared us to other country's debt. Though as Costello rightly pointed out the debt of 12% of GDP, that Marles said Labor left, was created in the 6 years from a standing start! The country's Marles uses as comparisons did not have zero debt six and a half years ago, but they built on existing debt over the same years.

He also believes it was Rudd and Labor that saved the day and stopped the boats with their "PNG" solution, and again would not acknowledge that the Coalition had contributed anything. He seemed to stand by the statement he made months ago that turning back the boats was stupid and would not achieve anything...good onya Dicky, totally wrong.

He also refused to enter into the argument that Shorten is protecting his own skin with the muted but totally useless changes to the Labor Party through distancing the Party from the unions. Bolt used the point that by doing so would have seen the likes of both he and Shorten not even in Parliament at all, as the only reason they are there is because of the sweetheart deal between the unions and the Labor Party. He skipped around that one!
He too appeared to refuse to acknowledge that the reason Labor is in opposition is because of their stance for an MRRT and a carbon dioxide tax.

With blockheads like Marles representing the Labor Party they WILL be in opposition for a decade at least...maybe by then Labor will have figured out why they got sacked by the Australian people!
