I would bet my left one there has been a concerted Chinese effort over a decade or more to sow internal doubt, self loathing and dissent … the rise of the alt right.
I’d wager every single western country is better off for the US having taken the globally dominant role since WWII … I can’t think of a single western country that would be better off with China in a globally dominant role.
The Chinese government will work to subdue, subjugate and dictate … the Chinese government harbours a huge grudge with the west and seeks to right wrongs and plant China to dominate for centuries to come … they play the long game, but Xi is flawed, impatient, aggressive and globally dangerous.
