I think the whole Gay Marriage thing, is just a Trojan Horse for many other objectives.

If you listen to some of our Gay Friends and their Fellow Travelers here on HotCopper with their Pavlov Dog reactions to that Utopian World that they long for and Dream of............ the one where the Old, Conservative and "Non-Compliant" contributors to HC (and their wider community Ilk) have DIED Off, then it becomes clear that their impatience for that Utopian World will need to be "brought forward" so to speak, as their needs and wants know no bounds.
