A few months ago the Prime Minister was applauding the passage of new laws for SSM, laws which obviously have the side effect of diminishing and degrading the traditional marriage which millions of people were in.
Now we have the Prime Minister and others saying they must write a code of conduct to tell politicians how to behave ?????
Is it any wonder that most people do not know what is acceptable these days, what is right or wrong, what can they do which will not upset the media and the social engineers.
When you degrade any institution in one aspect you HAVE to accept that you are degrading the institution in all ways.
Of course you could say that the standard required for applicants for the job of a member of parliament is obviously so low that they must be led by the hand and told what they can do on a day to day basis.
The public have a right to believe that Members Of Parliament would have the qualifications to lead and to show that they KNOW what is acceptable and what isn't, otherwise why have them?
Why not just have a paid employees to run the country who can be hired and fired as required
