I think there is room in this discussion for a new word / term.
Consider.
If you take a golf club and hit a golf ball around on the grass, you are playing golf.
If you take a cricket bat and hit a cricket ball around on the grass, you are playing cricket.
If you take a golf club and hit a cricket ball around on the grass, you are going something, but it isn't cricket and it isn't golf.
Lets get over the language.
