    If a religious body doesn't want to marry people of the same sex thats fine , that is a matter for the people of that religion to decide.

    But to call a same sex union marriage under law is easy , a rose by any other name is still a rose.

    If two people have a legal union and they want to call that legal union a marriage and they want the law to recognise it as such , what is the big deal.

    I know the zealots will have a hard time with this but they had a hard time with mini skirts and women voting , they will get over it , it will have zero affect on their lives and will provide a lot of people with a sense of stability and belonging.

    No one loses here , their are only winners in this.

    Again religions will have to make up their own mind and try to work out if their mythical creator would accept such a thing. Thier choice but they should impose their beliefs on the rest of our secular society.
