watso, for the first time, bought a couple of marrow bones (probably really only one bone, as they had been cut in half - lengthwise) and 90%rtc.
somebody mentioned to watso that the bones are for dogs - but watso said a bone is a bone and watso will use it for soup stock.
the next soup should be pretty good - with saved up chicken stock, mixed with the marrow bone stock - then mixed with fetta cheese and vegies (with an emphasis on broccoli )
watso was thinking - but how valid is the rtc date for marrow bones??. if given to a dog, they might chew on it a bit, then hide it for a week or two, find it again, chew on it a bit, then hide it again .
surely in the old days, this is the type of bone which got tossed to the fertilizer factory, and became a part of blood and bone fertilizer -but now about $5/kg as some super food
