He said however the Maunder minimum would be about 2030.

This is no way means we should not be looking for ways to decrease the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere asap as *after* the Maunder minimum, the planet will start heating up again. If combined with significant CO2 rises, the subsequent increase in temperature might quickly become catastrophic.
