I suppose "grappling" is the old school term in MT.
Perhaps now it's called "clinching".
You can certainly do a LOT in terms of technique to finish up kneeing your opponent in the head.
It's far more in depth technique wise, than it would appear to be on the surface.
I've said many times that MMA fighters absolutely must learn how to "clinch" well in order to have an advantage. Take a look at some of the MT based MMA fighters and I mean the ones who can not only kick well, but go straight up the middle with strong clinching and an abundance of good knees.
