    Oscarone, I agree it's comforting to know we don't all carry guns like they do in America, but the real issue here is the complete perversion of justice that took place.

    Guilty or not, you, me or anyone else living in our so called democratic society should be given a chance to prove your innocence.

    Why was Martin Bryant deprived of having a trial despite his plea of innocence?

    Why was the law subverted by not holding an inquest?

    And please explain to me how the hell a federal politician was able to subvert the Constitution and "instruct" the Judiciary. We might as well elect Vladmir Putin to oversea our judicial system.

    It's sickening to think we're able to lock someone up and throw away the key without even considering both sides of the story.

    In Norway, even the guilty pleading Anders Breivik gets to have his day in court.
