HCI - A friend of mine is an installer, in the business long before the scheme was introduced and his beef was that he was forced to buy cheap Chinese materials because the fly-by-night new entries to the industry were using it & prepared to work on low margins short term, with no intention to remain in the industry when the inevitable withdrawal of government funding occurred.

I would also be very surprised if the majority of the problems were not caused by installers new to the industry.
