Tilly, i have always believed that Martis is a misunderstood soul. He is an old hand and he is not stupid. But he is more of a trader than an investor and, imo, a pretty clever trader. He called it right on the effect of the DOW.

But CVI is an investment. because it is a spec stock it will get knocked around by various influences along way. IT WILL NOT BEHAVE LIKE MONEY IN THE BANK.

to put things in perspective for you go look at the 5 year chart for PDN.Down near the bottom of the chart in the early days you can see a reeeeal small dip. Doesn't look like anything now as the SP is so high these days but it is a dip from about 15c to 7 or 8c. Can you imagine the commotion amongst investors at that time as they saw there investment slashed in half. Probably like CVI now. But look at the chart again. It's just a little biddy bump in the SP that you wouldn't even notice if someone didn't point it out to you.
