the main reason why our market is not "mirroring" the US
is because US govt started to print money QE & hence lowering the US Dollar.
Hence US investment banks will sell ASX and make like 30% gain even if the ASX goes nowhere.
People can blame Mining tax, carbon tax & govt but the currency war by US on the rest of the world is why our markets are like this
