    Newcrest Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA)
    At the AGM we tabled (presented and talked about) the proposed ILUA with Newcrest. WDLAC’s lawyers were at the AGM and gave a summary of the ILUA. Members asked questions and spoke about their views of the ILUA. After a long talk and lots of questions, the members voted unanimously in favour of the ILUA. Martu and Newcrest have been talking about the ILUA for eight years and the signing of the ILUA is a big achievement for WDLAC and Martu. The ILUA will deliver a lot of benefi ts for Martu in coming years. We are pleased to let you know that this week the ILUA has been signed and lodged with the Native Title Tribunal for registration.
