It's well over a million dead out of a population of 8 million, that's 1 in 8 of the population dead for the Great Capitalist Potato Famine of Ireland, with a further 3 million emigrating. For the famine in the Ukraine, attributable to communism if you like, the most I can make out is about 28 deaths per thousand head of population. Communism's got nothing on capitalism's death toll.
