I can't agree with you. Hitler was a dopey maniacal monster. And such people never listen to anyone else's opinion, unless it is in tandem with theirs, and never think straight. His strategy in sending his troops to Russia, before invading the UK, was the most monumental mistake of WW11. He was too arrogant to learn the lessons of history.
We owe a gratitude to Hitler for being such a narrow minded, arrogant dope; and the Russian people (as opposed to their maniacal leader Stalin), for fighting so valiantly in opposing ,and eventually turning back, the German blitzkrieg.

The German generals all thought Russia was weak due to Stalin's purges, and they all thought war was inevitable so they all thought it better to get it over with before Russia could become very strong. British forces were hurled into the sea at Dunkirk, so there was no two front war. If the Germans were so clever, they would have annihilated the British at Dunkirk instead of letting them escape. Was that Hitler's fault, or the responsibility of the Generals on the ground?

Lets look at Guderian then. At exactly 31.30 up til 32.25 into the video there is the case of General Guderian who wants to advance onto Moscow in 1941 leaving a million Red Army troops behind him on Army Group Centre's southern flank in the Ukraine. Was he really wise, or just reckless? Nobody agreed with Guderian and so Hitler overruled him with support of the General Staff.
