    Dear BTA Holders,
    Interesting developments in Maryland with a family of 4 affected by flu with 3 dying, 4th hospitalised - rapid onset, coughing blood.

    A number of posts by Dr Niman on the Recombinomics website - latest indicating involvement of an "H3" - possibly H3N2v which contains virulence factor D225G.

    "D225G has also been reported in severe and fatal H1N1pdm09 cases, including those in Ukraine in 2009 as well as the Duke Medical Center death cluster."
