The way the SP has been moving, no one seems to expect anything from the next round of results. There were some interesting prospects among them. You can't interpret much out of the short films Dan made. What should he say except that they are drilling - the one hint with the 24% copper in the soil sample was perhaps a hint that "there" at least could be solid results. Wait and see here.

I have already mentioned the surprise potential in the lithium context a few times. Early days but as soon as the drillings around Mt. Isa are over, they will turn to WA and Yandal. That makes sense. If we get a sniff of something lithium-related in Yandal, it could give the whole story a new spin.

I doubt that HMX could be taken over at this stage. Unless some of the major shareholders throw in the towel and sell for a song. Don't think that's realistic - not impossible but unlikely at the moment - but this is just my view.

We hear surprisingly little from the JV Sumitomo front. I also asked Dan about it a few weeks ago. It seems to be "on". That's all I know. It is also very difficult to say whether a surprise can be expected from this side.

The last comments here - especially those by GeoFiji - have pleased me a little more. The current situation is simply difficult. With some posters, you'd think the world would stop spinning tomorrow. However, this is not the case....

Not only HMX is struggling. See, for example, how the gold price is collapsing - what is the story behind this? The prospect of interest rates rising further? At the same time, China is buying record amounts of gold. Is this all a set-up? Copper is holding up better - a decision is clearly due by mid-November - at the latest.

Could it be Kalman and its extensions? could it be the Orelia "targets" could it be any number of the myriad of copper and REE occurences in the Qld ground...

It will take some real thinking out of the box to develop a sound conceptual model on which to base nearfield exploration on mineralisation already found...this is the job of the geo team. Dans just a manager...he is guided by the tech team...
