Had the senators so engaged, told them exactly what they wanted to know and drove a positive mandate for terrestrial investment in the NT around renewables and the green energy transition, and the need for investment in NT of this magnitude and perhaps more. The senate were like a pack of dogs before his session where they assumed puppy status.
What is clearly on show is the amount of work and effort GW has undertaken in the sector and around policy. Whilst every other business person simply answered questions and tried to dodge bullets, Grant was actually influencing the agenda, driving the narrative and what the Middle Arm precinct blueprint could and should look like for commercial and social benefits while preserving environmental and other key cultural elements.
Tell me what other Chairman in the sector could have run a narrative the way he did. Simply compelling.
As an aside all these senate inquiries of late are conducted in such an aggressive and disrespectful tone. The Government could be well served around how to conduct themselves professionally and with respect. They are not judge and jury nor are the people before them guilty of some criminal act. I find the behaviour offensive and it is simply behaviour the public should not accept.
