That was the option of possibly raising through another source- which then put the company in a position to say to the insto's 'take it (c/n) or leave it as we have another source of finance'. It was merely done to cover themselves. The underwriters of the SPP and supporting brokers were probably told to canvas the demand for a further raising if needed. As I said they don't as the c/n will be done with a top up cap raising to one or two of the institutions.
