I supposed you might be right, saw a doco on how they transfer material/logistics to an aircraft carrier. I think the DST might have an advantage in this case. Also, in-flight refueling for the jets, current method relies on a "Steady" hand I believe, might be able to "automate" this process with some sort of AI/electronic control.
PS: I've joked about the HX being to shoot bricks at the enemy combatant and then move in to start rebuilding it.
