Mass exodus of exec staff continues?, page-37

At least ten stores are closed right now, possibly more, across NSW and VIC. Some in key locations. I called several and simply got answering machines. Called the Gundagai store was was told by the fellow that answered the phone that they have had to close for a couple of weeks to "deep clean" due to a COVID contact. Also called Eastlink-Inbound (VIC) store which was listed as being open, and when I asked the female duty manager why the other Oliver's store across the highway was closed, I was told that, and I quote... "BECAUSE BUSINESS IS SO QUITE THE HEAD OFFICE HAS MADE THE DECISION TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE NEARLY HALF THE STORES UNTIL THE NEW YEAR".

To those misled true-believers that keep sprouting on about how busy this business must be simply because people cannot travel overseas... hopefully this opens your eyes.
