Coal Prices to Rise on Chinese Supply, Indian Demand, UBS Says
By Alistair Holloway
April 29 (Bloomberg) -- Peter Hickson, an analyst with UBS AG in London, comments on prices for thermal coal, burned to generate power. He commented in a report today.
“Thermal coal prices are poised to advance based on surprising supply tightness in China and other key supplying regions.”
“Other supporting factors for the seaborne coal market are continuing demand surprises from India. UBS analysts expect power demand growth in India to be 6.8 percent in sharp contrast to other Asian regions.”
