Andres, never say never. It's bad advice. If an investor buys a stock on set financial metrics with a long term horizon, and the financial metrics of the stock don't materially change, yet the stock price halves, the investor has to seriously consider investing and averaging down. Because if they like the stock at the initial entry price, then they have to love it at 50% off.

It doesn't matter if it's a small company or a large company when averaging down (obviously a smaller company wouldn't hold a massive weighting in a portfolio anyway). What matters is the investor can rationally justify the reason for buying more.

But this is not advice to buy GBG. With GBG, the metrics have changed on nearly every measure. Hence the share price is where it's at.
