Is it not highly likely that many instos are buying their quotas ahead of the asx200 ann? Once everyone gets their quota the demand will stop and we may drift down again? Also, though it will be less significant, the ASX300 portfolios - small cap funds will be looking to unload as ACR has graduated. What I don't understand is that if ACR drifted down too much (say under $3) would it then fall out of the ASX200?
Whatever is going on - with the current volumes it's definitely a moment of great change in the register.
