As Goldfields is not an ASX listed company it is not required to make any announcements .What was released today could just be information that was agreed to be exchanged between the the 2 jv partners.Once this info is released to CQT then CQT being an ASX listed company must relay this to their shareholders.The question needs to be asked exactly how much info does Goldfields need to tell CQT! Regardless of what was released investors need to focus on what CQT are doing and one would assume that whilst a Goldfields takeover or major discovery would be more than welcome ,CQT can stand alone.
