KURNALPI PROJECT (GOLD) (Refer: Figure 1)
RC drilling at the Brilliant Prospect, approximately 90 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie
Western Australia, has continued to show strong gold assay results over exceptional widths of
mineralisation, including:
§ 16 metres @ 25.66g/t Au including
1 metre @ 374.6g/t Au &
4 metres @ 97.62g/t Au
§ 2 metres @ 26.88g/t Au
§ 20 metres @ 2.38g/t Au
§ 35 metres @ 3.14g/t Au
A drilling programme has commenced with vertical drill holes drilled on a 40x20 metre grid
pattern designed to intersect two gold mineralised quartz vein sets, one shallow north dipping
set and one sub-vertical set. The quartz vein sets occur within a dolerite host rock which has
been intruded into a mafic ultramafic sequence.
The vein sets that form two parallel systems approximately 100 metres apart occur at the
Brilliant Prospect. It is interpreted that the western system forms a deeper mineralised
structure compared to the eastern system, which is shallower and is therefore the main focus
of the current drilling programme (Refer: Figure 2a, 2b, 2c & 2d).
In hole SRRC 130 the highest gold assay value to date of 1 metre @ 374.6g/t was confirmed
with visible pieces of gold in the panning dish. It should also be noted that the metal Silver will
form an important credit in this gold deposit with values up to 220g/t.
Previous RC drilling has identified the Brilliant prospect as hosting significant gold
mineralisation over a distance of 400 metres within a north south shear zone which hosts
further alluvial workings and old workings to the north and south over a known distance of
approximately 2 kilometres. The significant widths of gold mineralisation greater than
1g/t and the continuity of mineralisation at the Brilliant Prospect indicates that an open
cut gold mine is totally viable. Drilling is proceeding rapidly to enable an indicated resource
to be calculated as soon as possible.
Rotary Air Blast (RAB) drilling and aircore drilling will commence next week to further define
the several gold mineralised areas which have been identified by previous work of either
alluvial workings and metal detecting or shallow mining. These areas are within significant
sheared corridors and host numerous prospects and old workings which require investigation
at depth
