That is the only relevant point...was the expenditure worth it. Probably not.
Conspiracys about management going to olympics in China during covid by receiving 3rd party tickets (to a very minor advertiser) is just sounding like a real wacko and makes it hard to take the bloke seriously.
A simple misjudging of the real exposure is all it most lilely was. A mistake.
