Massive support for SA Battery storage, page-3

So is the battery a good idea or is the stabilisation of the power grid a good idea?

Personally I am not convinced this will be the solution everyone is looking for, but I do not have the background to make an honest assessment. I am curious though to see how it goes, but I can only imagine the politicking that will go on around it. I am also pretty sure the true costs (build and maintain) will never be known - much like the current power pricing issue where everything is as clear as mud.
