I think you will find that it doesn't matter who is in power in the UK, legislation will be enacted.
Pretty much the UK has no choice. They are shutting down coal fired plants and nuclear facilities are being decommissioned. Infrastructure has been constructed - LNG terminals to transition the country to a gas economy. They have led the way in offshore wind farms for the last decade and I don't think the rate of roll out of these is going to increase - they are running out of suitable locations.
