still - gas utilities face paybacks with far shorter horizons.
Forget the hydronic heating and DHW - this is almost irrelevant (refer my 10% comment in my earlier post) There is no place for clearedge in family homes or small residences as the gas cost is almost the same as the grid elec costs. clearedge will find their home in appartment blocks and small commercial where they can utilise all the their heat year round- albeit requiring more integration and retrofitting with existing hydronic systems
As I said - Utilities company tie ups should see bluegens roll out the door soon in an increasing rate - no worries (the gas cost creates a win win for them). For the retail enthusiasts maybe the economy of scale factor will delay uptake in the short to medium term until the price drops by half.
