Looking at the numbers Appen has approx 360mil of revenue and orders as of their May 19th update ($260 USD).
Although lower than the numbers above if they were to maintain that rate evenly for the remaining 7 months of 2021 they are on track for around $850mil AUD (624 USD).
To me that is very exciting and that’s not factoring for the expected back end increase in spend by customers later in 2021.
The bit that we are reliant on is for the big tech players to be back to BAU with Appen and their data requests. If that doesn’t play out then the price is here for a reason but I am quietly confident even if they don’t hit the numbers mentioned above Appen should show a meaningful increase on the COVID spanked numbers last year.
Their August update can’t come soon enough to see how that revenue/contracted work number is going
