I'm extremely positive on Telstra from here but tend to think it will be a gradual creep to the mid to high 3's over the next year with a spike if/when the copper line buyout/transfer is agreed to....Slow moving because it's such a conservative stock...and also shorting action by % is not that massive.....around 10-15% of trade. Compare that to the banks that are currently around the 30% mark!
I think most of the recent selling pressure has been international holders who actually made 20% plus on currency conversion and saw it as an opportune time to exit. It would appear that most of these sellers have been flushed out of the system....
