I think I have cracked exactly what these bots do. take now. an institutions goal is to make retailers sell so they can accumulate. they keep the price down with bot sales say at at .295 then the algorithm waits for a retailer to get frustrated when he puts his sale in .300. the bot then immediately buys them at .300. net effect of a tree shake by frustration, not fear. if sufficient time passes without any retail offerings the bot stops selling at that level and sells at the next highest point. if retail offerings are plentiful, a lower bot selling point is realised. opposite for dumping boatloads.
