    I wasn’t referring just to recent investors. it’s been paying a dividend since at least 2015 which is when I bought in. If you bought prior to that and maybe it didn’t pay a dividend then I could understand your frustration. When did you buy?

    I don’t know how much clearer they can be than stating they will always pay a % of profit. they actually did give reasons for cutting the dividend. The cards division was growing like crazy and they couldn’t keep financing the debt, so they cut the dividend to retain cash and reduce debt. They were successful at achieving that.

    I agreed with the policy, but it no longer met my criteria so I sold the company and bought back again when the price had dropped to match my dividend criteria again. It’s my opinion that that is the correct strategy - invest in companies that match your criteria, not expect the company to change to match you.

    I do invest in growth companies and I would probably be annoyed if they started paying a dividend
