    So what you are saying is a rise in share price, right? Now why would a share price rise if there was never going to be profits paid back to investors? Think about that for a second mate.

    Investors buy shares in hope to receive a portion of profits (either now or in future, via a dividend or other mechanism), which forces share price upwards. They would not purchase the stock if they were guaranteed to never receive a portion of profits, and hence the share price would (theoretically) never rise.
