I do wonder if much of the criticism levelled at Masters might be influenced, to a good degree, by what Taleb might call the narrative fallacy. I guess the let's bash Woolies bandwagon is gathering steam, and we're all increasingly buying into the fall of Woolies story. Before too long we'll be finding fault with Dan Murphy's too.

I know that I've been frustrated at Burnings on many occasions, over many years. Now imagine if WES was now experiencing sub-par performance, can you imagine the howls of criticism being levelled at Bunnings?
