A great point you make about the execs of MULTI BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATIONS. While the minions of the world (aka scaremongers, downrampers, non believers, tactical threats, silent accumulators), use the minuscule wording such as 'this company is full of lies' or 'they haven't delivered on their promises again' to target new investors/mums and dads into selling their holdings, what they truly fail to realise as they try and pick up cheap shares to add to their existing holding or utilise as an entry point is that there are investors in this world who can see beyond their clouds of doom.
It is a known fact, execs of MULTI BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATIONS are the OWNERS of their decisions. To part with a 15mil non refundable payment without a very very strong reason would lead to self destruction and a very large tearing in you know what. They are the brains behind revenue creation and company growth. They are the voice that has to put forward their proposal to the powers that be to get that response 'yes, go ahead.. Pay unilife the non-refundable exclusivity payment'. in the eyes to your average investor, 15 mil from a company whose market cap sits at a mouth watering 104 BILLION might appear as 'small change', I can say this... NO CORPORATION IS GOING TO PART WITH 15mil to negotiate exclusively unless there is a BIG RETURN ON INVESTMENT.
The extension may have seen a momentary drop in share price, although for the likes of you and me TDA, we know well and truly that a BIG deal from a MULTI BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION is not going to be signed off unless everything is AIR TIGHT. Every fine detail needs to be fine combed with a toothpick, nothing can be left open to interpretation, no clauses can be exposed. This deal must be signed off by the powers that be at Amgen to ensure they get WHAT THEY WANT.... RETURN ON INVESTMENT = adding $$$$$$$$$ to their MULTI BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION and providing consistent returns to their shareholder base.
Imo, this extension is not the end, it is the final stages of what could be one of the biggest deals ever struck by UNILIFE and a Segway in to a lot of happy investors who HOLD when the final details are released.
