easier said than done. Unfortunately the majority of shares are controlled by the guys doing the takeover as well as the major shareholders all of who are related parties. I don't think the votes (over 50% required?) would ever be reached in a vote to change the board.....

Only thing you can hope for is that 90% is not reached and the company has to stay on the ASX. If that would eventuate a few major ahareholders could maybe request a seat on the board......
