"Oil and reservoir water was produced whilst testing these perforated C18 zones both individually and comingled, but not at material commercial rates to put the well immediately on production. The Operator is now evaluating acid wash and stimulation of the most prospective of these C18 carbonate sections to try and establish a commercial flow rate. "

Interesting looking at the above contained in the update, they obviously have oil flow from C18 as they did in #4 but not enough for IMMEDIATE commercial production , to even consider acid washing and stimulation the most prospective of those zones means they are probably reasonably close to a commercial production rate.


As in #4 it has probably become a trade off between time taken and the odds of getting a commercial flow from C18 and that will be high on the agenda with PL visiting Guatemala this week I would imagine.

In #4 that final C18 testing involved a lot of time, including waiting for and installing a ESP, all to no avail so that itself will be a factor.

Nice to have C17 sitting next in line , it flowed immediately and with no stimulation or clean up required in #4.
