    I cannot understand the Q you pose about the King and the forty wise men.

    Are U stating it as:
    Morning 1 "No wives killed"
    Morning 2 "No wives killed"
    ...
    Morning 27 "No wives killed"
    Morning 28 "All the unfaithful wives were killed"
    ie all killed on the last night? Anyway, at first glance it have moi stumped.

    What about another Q? 40 wives take their partners to a party. Each wife throw her car keys into a Tupper ware container (TM). The wives each take out a car key at random and take that hubbie home for a night of love. What is the prob that at least one wife takes home her own dear hubbie?
